Progressive journalist Steve Chapman claims to be ‘libertarian’ despite backing trillions of dollars in stimulus spending under Biden and Trump

Progressive journalist Steve Chapman claims to be a “libertarian” in a post at X found at this link:

But Steve Chapman supported spending trillions of tax dollars on stimulus spending. He endorsed the big-spending stimulus plans of both Joe Biden and Donald Trump in a column in the Chicago Tribune.

Steve Chapman also supported taxpayer-funded race-based reparations in a column in the Tribune. Reparations are a bad idea that could cost taxpayers trillions of dollars.

How do you pay for these things without lots of taxation? Don’t libertarians believe that “taxation is theft“?
