‘F*ck White People’: Utah Valley University speaker blames whites for ‘where we are in our world’

At Utah Valley University, the Center for Social Impact (CSI) hosted an event where the speakers engaged in what has been described as a “40 minute-long hateful rant.”

The rant occurred in the “Pathways Masterclass Series” featuring Anna Hendrickson in “a conversation with 2 former students on the Center’s ‘community organizing and activism efforts.’”

Five short clips capture the essence of the rant. As Campus Reform notes,

In the first clip, one of the speakers blames white people for the world’s problems saying, “It is hard to hear ‘hey, you are white, and be quiet’ but I am sorry there has been like … it’s not specifically your fault … but there has been like over 600 years of all these white people talking and not being quiet and look at where we are in our world right now.”

The same speaker says that sometimes she has to resist saying “fuck white people” to kids because that is how she feels.

She also goes on to say that “whiteness” is something that she does not need to “unpack” for other people because it makes her more “tired” and “detracts” from her rest.

“I think that decolonization is already happening. This conservation is decolonial. You are a white educator and I am talking to you about the dismantling of the system,” the speaker continues.

This is the sort of angry bile that woke academics spew these days. Even in Utah, academia and the teaching profession have lots of woke activists who peddle racial extremism.

School officials, teachers, and union officials in Utah were caught on video boasting about how they teach critical race theory and LGBTQ concepts to high-school students, despite Utah’s bans on CRT in the classroom, reports Accuracy in Media.

The Utah legislature passed two resolutions to ban CRT from schools eight months ago, and the State Board of Education then approved restrictions on teaching CRT in June 2021, according to The Salt Lake Tribune. But pro-CRT Utah teachers have circumvented these restrictions by teaching the same concepts under different rubrics, such as “Social-Emotional Learning” (SEL). So they are still indoctrinating students in their ideology.

This is occurring in places like Utah’s Jordan School District. Michelle Love-Day, Director of Culture and Diversity at Jordan, explained how her staff get around the rules by only telling parents what wokeness they taught kids after the fact, as a way of avoiding complaints that could prevent the teaching from taking place. “There was, like, loopholes with it that it just goes back to the LEA [Local Education Agency] for equity and for things. And so, our … whenever our team goes out we don’t do an opt-out prior to,” Love-Day said. “They just go out, meet the kids, work with them…And then we give a letter after they go out, saying, ‘We were in your school and this is what they talked about.’”

Similarly, Katrina Kennedy, a Teacher Specialist in Jordan School District, said, “Before I was in this role, my department did, we did a discourse unit on social justice issues.” A videographer asked, “What does the MAGA crowd or the church say when you start talking about social justice?” Kennedy responded that the woke subject matter was worked into a required English class. Including things like preferred pronouns:

You teach it to a group of seniors at West Jordan High and they don’t tell their parents. Well, it was a required class, English 12, so …

There are things, as a high school teacher, that frustrated me. Like, you can’t ask for pronouns, they made that law. I still—I still did and a lot of the high school teachers I know, especially in the English department, because we were like, ‘This is bull crap.’ Like, we still did.”

Another Teacher Specialist in the district, Letitia Vigil, elaborated on how there’s a whole system behind sneaking CRT and woke race theories into curriculum. “The work that him and Gwen, Dr. G, do, like, going out, having those critical conversations, helping teachers front-load some of the — those lessons that might be considered, you know, like CRT or white privilege, things like that, how to name things and talk about things.”

Jordan is far from the only Utah school district with leftist proselytizers on staff. Missy Hamilton, Director of Teaching and Learning in Murray School District, laughed as she described how a teacher refused to remove his Black Lives Matter (BLM) flag even though it was displayed so prominently that it violated longstanding rules about classroom displays:

”We have a teacher at the high school and his name is Isaac. When all of this stuff happened, he had Black Lives Matter flag, great big one. And he was just loud and proud. And even after the board said, you know, you can’t have a flag bigger than the America flag (laughing). I mean, it was huge, it was huge, you know, bigger than the American flag, you know, ‘you got to take [it down]’. . .And he was like, ‘No. No, I’m not going to.’ Whereas other teachers were fearful, right? He was like, ‘Fire me.’ Right? And—and he had enough tenure and they’re like, ‘Oh, okay.’ You know? He was like, ‘Write me up. Fire me. What are you going to do?’”

Sarah Roberts, Executive Director at Ogden School District, described how she smuggles left-wing concepts into Social-Emotional Learning segments, tricking parents. “Even with that woke curriculum, so I came up with an alternate curriculum for that child. It is still an SEL [Social-Emotional Learning] curriculum. Right? And I was like, ‘So how about your child do this and this and this during that time, that sounds fantastic,’” Roberts detailed. “And it’s the same thing?” the videographer asked. “Well, of course, it’s not. But it’s for — it meets the same objectives,” replied a grinning Roberts.
