The FBI interfered in the 2020 election by discrediting what turned out to be true allegations of wrongdoing by Hunter Biden. The 2020 election was so close that that FBI wrongdoing may have affected the outcome. We describe this FBI interference further below.
Republican Senators want to investigate that, but that won’t happen unless Republicans take control of the Senate — which may not happen, because Democrats are massively outraising Republicans in fundraising for Senate races, and Republican small donors are instead giving the money to Trump, who is just sitting on the money they are giving him rather than using it to fight the Democrats.
Trump raised $250 million from donors by making vote fraud claims that his own aides told him were mostly false. He raised the money to supposedly bring lawsuits challenging the election outcome. But instead, he directed virtually all of the money to an unrelated political action committee — rather than using it to challenge the election.
The lawyers that Trump used to challenge the election outcome were so incompetent, that they committed legal malpractice over and over again — especially attorneys Sidney Powell and Lin Wood. Wood is such a known crackpot that he says the earth is flat! These two incompetent lawyers filed legal briefs filled with mistakes, typos, sentence fragments, and frivolous claims. Their legal briefs were so badly written that they made Trump look like a fool, and damaged the President’s reputation and future electability.
Hiring lawyers like Powell was bad judgment on President Trump’s part. Her briefs were terrible. As Politico notes, in “a filing in federal district court signed by Powell misspelled ‘district’ twice in the first few lines.” As the Tribune notes, “the word district in the court name was misspelled twice on the first page of the document. First there was an extra c for ‘DISTRICCT’ and then, a few words later, ‘DISTRCOICT.’” Powell also misspelled the word “declaration” as “decleration,” cited fraud in non-existent places, and filed appeals in the wrong courts. Powell confused Michigan with Minnesota in court filings, citing election results from a bunch of Minnesota municipalities in her Michigan lawsuit.
Lin Wood was just as bad. Wood paid little attention to actual problems with the election, such as evidence of partisan poll-workers in liberal counties, and double-voting by mostly Democratic voters — which accounted for at least a tenth of Joe Biden’s seeming victory margin in one state, according to Paul Sperry of Real Clear Investigations. Instead, Wood spewed easily-debunked conspiracy theories.
Hot Air describes what the FBI did to apparently run interference for Hunter Biden, and how Senate Republican would like to investigate it further. “Did the FBI put its thumb on the scale of the 2020 election by backing Joe Biden’s attempts to discredit allegations of wrongdoing by Hunter Biden? That’s what [Iowa Republican Senator] Chuck Grassley says he’s hearing from “highly credible” whistleblowers within the FBI — and he wants answers from FBI director Christopher Wray
CBS News reported on the letter, which has supporting details:
“Highly credible” whistleblowers have come forward to a senior Senate Republican alleging a widespread effort within the FBI to downplay or discredit negative information about President Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, according to letters reviewed by CBS News.
“The information provided to my office involves concerns about the FBI’s receipt and use of derogatory information relating to Hunter Biden, and the FBI’s false portrayal of acquired evidence as disinformation,” GOP Sen. Chuck Grassley wrote FBI Director Christopher Wray and Attorney General Merrick Garland on July 25. “The volume and consistency of these allegations substantiate their credibility and necessitate this letter.”
Grassley, the ranking member on the Senate Judiciary Committee, said the whistleblowers alleged that legitimate streams of information and intelligence about the president’s son were characterized as likely disinformation or prematurely shut down leading up to the 2020 presidential election.
CBS News’s Catherine Herridge points to suspicious events in the FBI about Biden in the weeks leading up to the election. It seems that one or more FBI officials didn’t want too much scrutiny of Hunter at that time, even though he had already been under criminal investigation:
Grassley cited a 2020 FBI intelligence assessment that was “used by an FBI headquarters team to improperly discredit negative Hunter Biden information as disinformation.” He continued, “Based on allegations, verified and verifiable derogatory information on Hunter Biden was falsely labeled as disinformation.”
In October 2020, one month before the election, “an avenue of derogatory Hunter Biden reporting was ordered closed” by a senior FBI agent at the bureau’s Washington Field office. An earlier letter from Grassley identified the agent as Timothy Thibault.
That act and related leaks led the Biden campaign to falsely claim that all of this information came from a “disinformation” operation, presumably Russia. As Hot Air notes, “The media were only too happy to shut down those stories, even after the New York Post obtained the data from Hunter Biden’s laptop and reported on all of the evidence that pointed to criminal and/or corrupt activities. Whether it came from an FBI conclusion of disinformation or just a desire to rally around Donald Trump’s opponent, media outlets and social-media platforms quashed the story for months — only to find out much later that the Department of Justice confirmed that it was legit after all.”
Grassley alleges that the FBI set him up to discredit the Senate Judiciary Committee’s inquiry into Hunter Biden’s misconduct:
It is further alleged that in August 2020, FBI Supervisory Intelligence Analyst Brian Auten opened an assessment which was used by a FBI Headquarters (“FBI HQ”) team to improperly discredit negative Hunter Biden information as disinformation and caused investigative activity to cease. Based on allegations, verified and verifiable derogatory information on Hunter Biden was falsely labeled as disinformation. …
Importantly, it’s been alleged to my office that Auten’s assessment was opened in August 2020, which is the same month that Senator Johnson and I received an unsolicited and unnecessary briefing from the FBI that purportedly related to our Biden investigation and a briefing for which the contents were later leaked in order paint the investigation in a false light.
Grassley is seeking to find out whether these are signs of a larger, politicized rot at the Department of Justice and the FBI:
The aforementioned allegations put a finer point on concerns that I have raised for many years about political considerations infecting the decision-making process at the Justice Department and FBI. If these allegations are true and accurate, the Justice Department and FBI are – and have been – institutionally corrupted to their very core to the point in which the United States Congress and the American people will have no confidence in the equal application of the law. Attorney General Garland and Director Wray, simply put, based on the allegations that I’ve received from numerous whistleblowers, you have systemic and existential problems within your agencies. You have an obligation to the country to take these allegations seriously, immediately investigate and take steps to institute fixes to these and other matters before you.
As Hot Air notes, “Grassley may not get an answer — yet. Republicans do not control the Senate and therefore do not control the floor or the committees. Wray can’t outright ignore Grassley, but he can put him off as long as [Democratic Senate committee] chair Dick Durbin declines to take it up.”
That will only change if Republicans take control of the Senate this November. But Republicans are being crushed by Democrats in fundraising right now. Unless Republicans step up and donate to Republican Senate candidates, Democrats will not only keep control of the Senate but actually gain a seat or two in the Senate.
Partly as a result, in Senate races, Democrats now lead narrowly, or are tied with Republicans, in Wisconsin, Ohio, and Pennsylvania — states currently held by Republicans. They also lead in Georgia, which is held by a Democrat who barely won in a 2020 special election.
The Daily Caller reports that Hunter Biden committed crimes that other people have gone to prison for, yet he is seemingly not being investigated for them.

Joe Biden himself may have paid for the encounter. For example, “President Joe Biden apparently unwittingly financed his son’s participation in an escort ring tied to Russia,” reports the Washington Examiner. That’s what “records from a copy of Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop show.”
Documents on the laptop show that “Hunter Biden spent over $30,000 on escorts, many of whom were linked to ‘.ru’ Russian email addresses and worked with an ‘exclusive model agency’ called UberGFE during a 3 1/2 month period between November 2018 and March 2019.”
He was able to do this due “to Joe Biden committing to wiring him a total of $100,000 to help pay his bills from December 2018 through January 2019.” For example, “Joe Biden wired his son $5,000 while he was actively engaged with an UberGFE escort.”
In a 2020 Senate report, Senators Charles Grassley (R-Iowa) and Ron Johnson (R-Wisconsin) noted that “Hunter Biden paid nonresident women who were nationals of Russia or other Eastern European countries,” including transactions with an apparent “Eastern European prostitution or human trafficking ring.”
The Senators concluded that Hunter Biden “sent thousands of dollars” to individuals involved in “possible human trafficking” or “prostitution.” Several of the women “subsequently wired funds they have received from Hunter Biden to individuals located in Russia and Ukraine.”
In 2019, Senators Grassley and Johnson wrote to the Treasury Department’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network seeking “all Suspicious Activity Reports” for Hunter Biden and his enterprises.
Earlier, we wrote about how Joe Biden’s daughter spoke of being sexualized at a young age, and taking “inappropriate” showers with Joe Biden, in her diary. Now, there is additional confirmation of this story by the London Daily Mail.
The Daily Mail reports that the Florida woman who found Ashley Biden’s diary in a “halfway house” is now under FBI investigation for selling the diary in which the President’s daughter described “showers w/ my dad (probably not appropriate)” and being “Hyper-sexualized @ a young age ,” as well as details of her drug and sex additions. Aimee Harris is being investigated for selling Ashley Biden’s diary after Biden left it behind at a halfway house in Florida. Biden had been living in Palm Beach Florida before moving back to Philadelphia.
As the Daily Mail explains:
The diary’s explosive contents include Ashley’s speculation that showering with her father, then-Senator Joe Biden, as a young girl may have contributed to her sex addiction.
‘I remember having sex with friends @ a young age; showers w/ my dad (probably not appropriate),’ she wrote in a January 2019 entry
After a stint in rehab, the president’s daughter, now 41, briefly lived in a Palm Beach home often used by recovering addicts, and left her diary there when she moved back to Philadelphia in June, 2020.
Single mother of two Aimee Harris, 39, also fresh out of rehab, moved in weeks later and found it under the mattress.
Harris allegedly showed the diary at a Republican fundraising event and sold it for $40,000 to right wing organization Project Veritas.
The president’s daughter wrote that she was ‘hyper-sexualized [at] a young age’, details her chronic drug abuse, affairs outside her marriage, how her finances were ‘down to the wire’ and how she made Joe cry with worry over her ahead of a Democratic primary debate.
Her writings also show Ashley may have been using drugs while helping campaign for her father’s presidential bid in 2019….The New York Times first reported a Justice Department probe over the diary in November 2021, and confirmed that the diary is authentic.
But the Times neglected to include in the story that its pages contained deeply concerning information that the president’s own daughter believes his alleged showering with her could have helped create her sex addiction.
As the National File notes,
Entries in the diary include the author revealing she believes she was sexually molested as a child and shared “probably not appropriate” showers with her father, some that detail the author’s struggle with drug abuse and the author’s crumbling marriage with multiple affairs, along with entries showing the family’s fears of a potential scandal due to her brother’s new home, and those that show a deep resentment for her father due to his money, control, and emotional manipulation.
The Times’s 2021 story said that a Biden family representative reported that the diary was stolen in a burglary. But the DailyMail was told that Harris is not being investigated for theft.
“The feds now aren’t saying it was illegal to find the diary,” said an unnamed source close to the investigation. “Nor are they saying Aimee stole anything.”
“But it’s her selling the property of another that could be considered a crime. And the fact Ashley is the president’s daughter kicks it to a different legal level.”
Harris allegedly teamed up with a friend, convicted money-launderer Robert Kurlander, to sell the diary to Project Veritas, known for its undercover sting operations against Democrat politicians and affiliated organizations.
Ashley is the youngest of Joe Biden’s kids and the only one from his marriage to First Lady Jill Biden (his older three children are from his marriage to his first wife). In an entry on January 30, 2019, she wrote about her sex addiction the day before her Alcoholics Anonymous meeting.
James O’Keefe, head of the undercover investigation group Project Veritas, bought the rights to publish the diary for $40,000.
Bobert Kurlander tweeted at Trump and Donald Trump Jr. in October 2020, less than a month before election day, telling them that “Ashley and Hunter are disasters.”
“I have always been boy crazy,” wrote Ashley Biden in her diary. “Hyper-sexualized @ a young age … I remember somewhat being sexualized with [a family member]; I remember having sex with friends @ a young age; showers w/ my dad (probably not appropriate).”
As the New York Times noted in 2020, Joe Biden has also been accused of sexual assault by a former Senate aide, Tara Reade. Reade “told The New York Times that in 1993, Mr. Biden pinned her to a wall in a Senate building, reached under her clothing and penetrated her with his fingers. A friend said that Ms. Reade told her the details of the allegation at the time. Another friend and a brother of Ms. Reade’s said she told them over the years about a traumatic sexual incident involving Mr. Biden.”
Recently, the New York Post reported on evidence that Joe Biden was complicit in his son Hunter’s influence-peddling.
