No one is more focused on the color of a person’s skin than David Hogg, the 96-pound weakling who the Left anointed a child wonder after surviving a school shooting. How obsessed with race is young Hogg? So much so that when asked in 2020 whether he had any ambitions to run for public office, he observed, “[W]e got enough cisgendered great white men in office right now.”

Yet when asked by admirer and CNN anchor Alisyn Camerota to explain the rise in gun sales in recent years, Hogg without hesitation played the race/gender/immigration status card. The exchange begins at 2:06 in the video that follows.

Alisyn Camerota: … [I]’s not only gun violence going up. It’s also gun purchasing. So, in just the past year, in 2020, there were nearly 23 million guns sales across the United States. That’s up 65% over the year before. And then in January, OK, after the insurrection at the Capitol, there were 2 million gun sales, that’s up 75% compared to January before that. So what’s that about to you?

David Hogg: I think it’s about fear. I think it’s about the fact that as a country oftentimes we would rather, unfortunately, turn on each other and point to someone’s skin color or point to someone’s immigration status or their gender or their sexual identity and claim that’s the threat, when in reality we should all be working together against the sources of evil that are creating this gun violence and the injustice that promotes this gun violence and gun purchases in the first place.

This is nothing new for Hogg, who in 2019 claimed that shootings in this country stem from America’s “white supremacy.” We have been hearing from the Left for years that whites are the source of all that is evil throughout America’s history. In recent years, statues of white men have been toppled, and schools and other institutions named for the nation’s founders have been renamed. Perhaps this trend reached its zenith last week when BLM and pro-Palestinian activists staged a march in which they chanted, “Black lives matter, crackers don’t.” How would Hogg square that sentiment with his own views on race, not to mention his own “cisgendered whiteness”?

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
