By now, we know Joe Biden’s M.O. as president — viz, do the opposite of what Donald Trump did, regardless of the repercussions. On Day One, Biden ceased work on Trump’s border wall and reversed other policies on immigration. The result? A crisis of unimaginable proportions.
Other problems have arisen out of Biden’s decision to turn the table on his predecessor, but his latest leap without looking is likely to reflect poorly on him among members of his base: On Friday, he canceled Trump’s July 2020 executive order calling for a “Garden of American Heroes.” The decision, for which no explanation was given, according to the Daily Mail, presumably was rooted in the fact that Trump himself had curated the list of honorees.
Trump unveiled his proposed heroes on January 18, just two days before he left office.
So which “white supremacists” were to be featured? Er … Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Whitney Houston, Kobe Bryant, and Harriet Tubman among others.
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
Trump had passed the executive order in July of 2020 calling for “a site of natural beauty that enables visitors to enjoy nature, walk among the statues, and be inspired to learn about great figures of America’s history.”
