He’s now provided enough material to fill two sixty-minute blooper reels and he’s nowhere close to stopping. If it’s not immigrants from India (in 2008 he observed, “You “cannot go to a 7-Eleven or Dunkin’ Donuts [in Delaware] unless you have a slight Indian accent), it’s gays. In 2020, he said to CNN’s Anderson Cooper:

The point is they [gays] are not afraid now to stand up and say, because guess what? We learn. Our brothers, our sisters, our — the girl we went out with in high school, the guy you know, no, I’m serious. Think about it. The idea it’s normal. It’s normalized. It’s not anything strange. It’s not strange. That’s the generic point. And the more people know that, the more they understand it. You’d think by now that when he’s about to open his mouth wide enough to jam his foot in, a little voice would go off in Joe’s head saying, I’m going to say something that’s going to get me in trouble. In fact, such a voice exists. Unfortunately for the commander in chief he doesn’t know enough to pay attention to it.

At last Tuesday’s CN town hall, he prefaced one of his comments by saying aloud: “I’m going to say something that’s going to get me in trouble,” adding the syntactically bankrupt. “which I couldn’t go through a whole show without doing that.”

The he said this:

And that is that, think about it. If you want to know where the American public is, look at the money being spent in advertising. Did you ever five years ago think every second or third ad out of five or six you would turn on would be biracial couples?

The only problem with Biden’s continuing to offer up his “deep thoughts” is that now he is at least nominally the leader of the free world. What off-the-cuff observation is he going to make to a powerful peer that is going to trigger World War III?
