What could be more hypocritical than the Democratic Party — the self-appointed champions of women’s rights — failing to celebrate the confirmation to the U.S. Supreme Court of the fifth woman in history? How about its wholesale condemnation of the Girl Scouts of the USA for doing what they should have done? Shortly after 3 p.m. yesterday, the Scouts tweeted:
Within minutes, the party of hate went about setting an example for the children. Rep. Ayanna Pressley( D-Mass.) kicked off the embarrassing chorus of taunts, tweeting, “What kind of patch does one earn for uplifting a woman who is the antithesis of justice?”
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Another Twitter user, a “life-time Girl Scout,” added the following, according to Fox News:
I already felt uneasy as a trans person in this organization, but now I really understand that with this message that Girl Scouts really does not support me or my trans/LGBTQ siblings.
Yet another of the spiteful reactions read, “I’m going to spend my $100 Girl Scout Cookie budget on ingredients to make my own next year.”
All told there were more than 4,000 replies to the tweet, most offering a discouraging word. By evening the congratulatory tweet was gone, and this appeared in its place.
Earlier today, we shared a post highlighting the five women who have been appointed to the Supreme Court. It was quickly viewed as a political and partisan statement which was not our intent and we have removed the post.
