Biden’s son was an attorney general in the Army?

Is that a new rank that comes, say, between colonel and brigadier general? Or maybe, like sergeant major, it’s a non-com whose title makes it sound higher up in the chain of command than it actually is.

In any case, this latest Biden gaffe came up during a press conference in Wilmington yesterday. He was attempting to score points by repeating the scurrilous gossip about Donald Trump published in The Atlantic by affirming that his son Beau, who served in the military in Iraq, was no “sucker.”

But the effort was tainted by the former vice president’s conflating his son’s military service with his having later served as Delaware attorney general.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Since the would-be president is bringing up his offspring, one has to wonder whether he would defend his living son, Hunter, with the same vigor, rattling off his many “achievements.” Here is just a short list of those for the uninitiated: He was a drug abuser, fathered a bastard child by a stripper while married, and had a lien placed on him by the IRS for $113,000 in unpaid taxes. He currently lives a profligate lifestyle and, for added measure, continues to hold a 10% stake in a Chinese private equity firm he promised months ago to sever ties with.

I would submit that by most people’s reckoning, Hunter Biden is a “loser,” to borrow one of the other labels the president supposedly used to describe American servicemen and women who died for their country.
