It will be their little secret if Bill de Blasio has his way.

The City reports that the New York City mayor has expressed concerns that the thousands of protesters who have been crowding together at Black Lives Matter rallies might lead to a new outbreak of COVID-19. One especially densely packed crowd gathered yesterday outside the Brooklyn Museum to celebrate trans black lives, as the photo at the top of the page illustrates.

De Blasio’s concerns are valid. But the action he has taken in response to those concerns is borderline criminal. He has instructed the hundreds of contact tracing workers hired by the city not to inquire whether anyone testing positive for the virus recently attended a demonstration. An affirmative answer would throw shade on the protests, which is the last thing in the world liberals like de Blasio want. So eager are they to keep the protests alive that they are willing to sacrifice innocent lives.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

This is one case where what you don’t know can hurt you.
