CNN inches ever closer to becoming a parody of itself. Yesterday the network avoided covering Joe Biden‘s “you ain’t black” remark but found time to keep up with its wall-to-wall coverage of any controversy, no matter how small, involving Donald Trump.
Included in the coverage was a photo of the president out on the links. But the purpose of the picture was not to show him out golfing while Rome burned. Rather it was to emphasize the fact that Trump was not wearing a mask, and neither were other members of his foursome.
The shot, which appears to have been taken with a telephoto lens, was taken by photojournalist Khalil Abdallah, whose Twitter bio reveals that he “Loves cooking on Fire.” Sounds painful but to each his own.
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
CNN photojournalist @abdallahcnn got a shot of President Trump golfing today. He says the president is moving around the course in a golf cart alone but is golfing with three partners. None of the men are wearing masks. pic.twitter.com/WXYS6zDPNd

The president’s refusal to wear a mask has been a point of grim fascination with the media. But in this particular case, as Dana Loesch points out, the golfers are all outside in direct sunlight and fresh air, which are the natural enemies of the virus.
They’re not wearing masks in the sun and fresh air, the natural variables the NIH/NIAD and CDC said would actually be detrimental to the lifespan of said virus? https://t.co/7DXr568RI9

Other commenters on Twitter had similar reactions. Here are a few:

and? Is there really nothing going on? Maybe the "photojournalist" should go to Michigan and investigate the tyrant Whitmer. Or to the CCP and find out how this virus got away from them and why they lied about it. Hmmm
