For Pete’s ‘takes’: Biden garbles words again

The Left continues to ignore Joe Biden’s mental decline, even as he rambles on from the basement of his Delaware house, mangling the English language at every turn. (RELATED: Biden now spouting full-on gibberish: speaks of ‘implemencation,’ asks ‘where do we do’?)

Among his latest gaffes was substituting the word sake for take, and adding a final -s:

We cannot let this, we’ve never allowed any crisis from the Civil War straight through to the pandemic of 17, all the way around, 16, we have never, never let our democracy sakes [sic] second fiddle. … [Emphasis added]

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

During the same interview, the former vice president seemed to forget the name of the virus currently wreaking havoc on our nation and the world, referring to it as “cona.”

This is not the first time he mucked up a reference to the coronavirus, which because of its magnitude, is featured in the vast majority of news stories these days. He recently referred to it as the “Luhan virus,” not only getting the name wrong, but committing the same “offense” Donald Trump was accused of by identifying the pathogen by its place of origin. When the president referred to the virus as the “Chinese virus,” he was widely excoriated by the media for his racist nomenclature.

It is not unreasonable to wonder whether the media would be this willing to overlook these verbal faux pas if they were emanating from the mouth of Donald Trump.
