This doesn’t sound like the same Joe we’ve come to know and ridicule. He has been accused of having used his influence as vice U.S. president to quash an investigation into the Ukrainian company that paid his son, Hunter, $50,000 a month. But instead of the normally feisty Biden defending himself with raised fists, the former veep has maintained radio silence as more pieces of the puzzle fall into place.
And now, a powerful new RNC ad is asking what Biden is hiding.
The ad, a video of which follows, shows reporters from mainstream media outlets, including CNN and the New York Times, asking and/or answering questions about Biden’s role in the Burisma affair.
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
If nothing else, candidate Biden should want to get in his licks at the president, who is himself alleged by Democrats to have brought pressure to bear on the Ukrainian for never completing their investigation of the natural gas company and Hunter Biden’s role in it. With the word impeachment floating in the ether around him, Biden must be champing at bit to take shots at Trump.
So why isn’t he?
Could the answer be that the frontrunner for the Democratic nomination has heard from the party bosses that he has already said too much? It was after all Biden’s repeated (and somewhat fictitious) boast on the campaign trail about strong-arming then-Ukrainian Pres. Petro Poroshenko over the Burisma investigation in 2015 that blew Ukrainegate up in the first place.
