LU has carried numerous stories of criminal illegal aliens who are deported but subsequently return to the U.S. In April, the blog reported on a man who was deported and returned five separate times, using the occasion of his fifth to kill an infant.
Jose Rodriguez, a 27-year-old illegal alien from Honduras, is different. He was ordered deported about six years ago, but unlike the others he secretly remained in the U.S. He might still be living here, his whereabouts a mystery to immigration authorities, except that on June, he ran a red light in Bloomington, Ill., and killed 39-year-old Corey Cottrell, who was driving a motorcycle.
According to Breitbart, Rodriguez fled the scene but turned himself into police the following day. He was charged with causing a deadly hit-and-run crash and driving without a license. But the judge at his arraignment made a serious error. Perhaps because Illinois is a sanctuary state or perhaps because Rodriguez turned himself in initially, the judge permitted him to post bail and be released. That was the last Rodriguez was heard from.
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
Cottrell leaves behind two daughters.
