Tex Mex restaurant faces backlash after chef takes picture with AG Jeff Sessions

It’s not just white supremacists who will get the cold shoulder from restaurants. Restaurateurs who make the mistake of serving white supremacists can likewise look forward to ostracism and public humiliation.

Via Click2Houston:

The social media accounts of a popular Houston Tex-Mex restaurant have been shut down due to extreme backlash over a controversial picture.

The decision to shut down the social media accounts came after the El [sic] Tiempo posted a photo of executive chef Domenic Laurenzo with U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

The social media backlash was instant, with some even calling for a boycott of the restaurant. Those speaking out against the photo say Sessions’ stance on immigration is the issue.

Laurenzo said the photo was taken and sent to the person who handles the restaurant’s social media, who posted it without consulting with management.

He said he never meant to offend anyone.

Posing for the picture with Sessions was not the restaurant’s only mistake. It posted a copy of the photo on its Facebook page with the message “We had the honor to serve Mr. Jeff Sessions, Attorney General of the United States. Thank you for allowing us to serve you.”

As fond as the Left is of calling Trump “Hitler” and his supporters “members of the SS,” their behavior in these matters is reminiscent of the Third Reich’s response to harboring a Jew in Nazi Germany, which was an offense nearly as grave as being a Jew.
