David Hogg has nothing but contept [sic] for the National Rifle Association. It showed once again in a tweet he posted in indirect reaction to a development originally cited in an article at USA Today.
On Tuesday the paper reported that the NRA had embarked on a seven-figure national and regional ad campaign urging confirmation of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. From the article:
The five regional spots target senators who are considered potential swing votes: Sens. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska., Doug Jones, D-Ala., Joe Donnelly, D-Ind., Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., and Heidi Heitkamp, D-N.D.
Enter Hogg with a tweet that not only seemingly puts the lie to the NRA’s recent complaints of insolvency as a result of New York’s “blacklisting” campaign but forecasts even harder times for the “pathetic f*ckers that want to keep killing our children.”
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
Funny, that doesn’t sound like the behavior of a nearly bankrupt organization . Looks like the NRA will soon be held in Contept of Court… https://t.co/D9aN0yZ4Zu

OK, putting aside what was most likely a typo, is young Hogg unaware that you can’t be held in contempt of court unless you are actually in court (i.e., involved in some legal action)? Apparently not.
What is genuinely sad about the reactions to the tweet, which as with all other Hogg tweets number in the thousands, is that many of them, ostensibly written by adults, are positive. They see no harm in continuing to egg this kid on despite the fact he has been out of his element since Day 1.
