If ISIS and the rogue nations that sponsor the terrorist group had their way, Sharia law would prevail the world over. While most citizens of Western nations would prefer to the live the life to which they have become accustomed, the degree to which liberals kowtow to Muslims gives you the sense that they wouldn’t mind so much if the caliphate returned.
We see a glimpse of this in a whiteboard message posted last week at Oregon State University that asked non-Muslims students to “avoid eating foods, especially smelly foods, in shared spaces to be considerate of those who are observing Ramadan.” While there is nothing inherently wrong in asking young people to show consideration for cultural differences, it would be hard to imagine a similar request made of, say, non-Christian students during Lent or non-Jewish students during Passover.
But at least the university was honest and up-front in its request. Not so this sign, posted at the entrance to a beach in Australia:
Multicultural? Give me a break. What other group besides Muslims are hung up by the sight, let alone the notion, of women daring to appear uncovered in public? Better still, what other group shares their antipathy toward man’s best friend?
As stated earlier, I am all for respecting the ways of people of other cultures and religions, but when I go to the beach, I like to enjoy a brewsky or two while relaxing on the sand. If the person a blanket away has a problem with that, he can move to a different location.
