Who was James Comey really working for when he was FBI Director under President Trump? It certainly wasn’t President Trump.
Check out the following exchange between Comey and George Stephanopoulos, during which Comey openly admits that he knew that the infamous Trump dossier was funded by Hillary Clinton and kept this vital information from President Trump.
George Stephanopoulos: Did you tell him [Trump] that the Steele dossier had been financed by his political opponents?
James Comey: No, I didn’t.
Stephanopoulos: But didn’t he have a right to know that?
Comey: That it had been financed by his political opponents? I don’t know the answer to that. It wasn’t necessary for my goal, which was to alert him that we had this information.

Comey’s decision to sit on this information may have been the result of his consulting his Magic 8 Ball or asking his mirror on the wall. As we learned yesterday, the former FBI director also admits in his forthcoming book that much of his decision making was driven by public opinion polling. So outrageous is this notion that even liberal commentators felt impelled to share their incredulity.
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
Unbelievable. Justice by polling? https://t.co/daSIwrQHzz

So basically we have Trump as president because Comey couldn’t read poll probabilities right? Cc @NateSilver538 https://t.co/Nk9zowVwZ1
