2 police officers shot in San Diego, 1 killed

The latest scene of a cop killing is San Diego, where two police officers were shot late Thursday, one of them fatally wounded. The second officer was taken to an area hospital and is expected to survive.

According to the Fox News, the incident occurred after a driver the two officers had pulled over opened fire on them.

The suspected shooter, who has since been apprehended and is now under arrest, apparently drove off following the shooting, prompting “a manhunt in the city’s Southcrest neighborhood involving SWAT teams, helicopters and squad cars.”

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Video footage showed officers out in force with numerous squad cars with emergency lights flashing lining a street, officers on foot, and a helicopter buzz overhead.

So far, no motive has been established, nor has the identity of the suspect been revealed. It is premature to say whether this is another revenge killing.

This is a developing story. Updates will be added as new information becomes available.
