Via Reuters, a Mexican national who was deported in 2004 but returned is suspected of killing four people in Kansas and a fifth in neighboring Missouri.
The suspect, Pablo Antonio Serrano-Vitorino, 40, was apprehended following a 17-hour manhunt.

Described as dangerous and possibly armed with an AK-47, Serrano-Vitorino was spotted inconspicuously lying face down in a ditch in eastern Missouri. A rifle was recovered at the scene.
Serrano-Vitorino has charged with first-degree murder in connection with the fatal shootings of four men between in Kansas City. Charge have not yet been filed in the shooting of the victim in Missouri.
According to the Kansas City Star, the four Kansas victims were shot in a house next door to the one in which Serrano-Vitorino lived. Two of them were brothers. Their bodies were discovered late Monday.
