ISIS: ‘We’re coming to D.C. with ‘booby traps and explosives’

In a new video released by ISIS Monday, the terrorist group threatened to launch attacks against the U.S. capital and other countries involved with the recent bombing of Islamic militants in Syria and Iraq.

A man identifying himself as “Al Ghareeb the Algerian” said any of the countries involved in the “crusader campaign” would face a fate similar to that of Paris Friday, where 129 were killed in last Friday’s attacks, Reuters reports.

“We say to the states that take part in the crusader campaign that, by God, you will have a day, God willing, like France’s and by God, as we struck France in the center of its abode in Paris, then we swear that we will strike America at its center in Washington,” he said in the video.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

The militant in the video was referring the attacks carried out by the French air force on ISIS targets in Raqqa, Syria on Sunday and into Monday. Raqqa is ISIS’s designated capital.

According to the French military, 12 planes dropped a total of 20 bombs on ISIS, destroying all their intended targets. It is unclear, though, if anyone was killed in the bombing raid.

French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve also said on Monday ISIS had declared “war” on France and that “anybody who attacks the Republic, the Republic will fight back.”

The man in the video also threatened that more attacks would be coming in Europe:

I say to the European countries that we are coming, coming with booby traps and explosives, coming with explosive belts and silencers and you will be unable to stop us because today we are much stronger than before.
