Guess what is no longer politically correct, according to the left?

Why it’s the words politically correct, of course. According to the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee’s Orwellian-named “Inclusive Excellence Center,” using the phrase politically correct or its abbreviation, PC, is a microaggression.

This latest language taboo is singled out in a “Just Words” campaign, launched by the center. The goal of the crusade, Campus Reform explains, is to “raise awareness of microaggressions and their impact.”

Among the microaggressive words and phrases that are now considered verboten are lame (which  somehow both “ridicules and ignores the lives of amputees”), third world (which “reinforces heirarchical attitudes towards nations around the world, [and] establishes Westernized … countries and cultures as the ‘standard’ upon which to measure national well-being or economic status”), and illegal alien (which “fails to recognize the humanity of immigrants”).

So who is the brains behind the “Just Words” campaign? His name is Warren Scherer, and he seems to dish it out better than he takes it. Take as an example some of his tweets directed at Republican presidential candidates (caution: profanity alert).

Glass houses anyone?
