EU perpetrates video comparing U.S., EU political structures, for some reason

Breitbart London seems to think there’s a dark agenda here.  I’m not so sure.  Someone may have simply been bored.  Or maybe there was an obscure checklist item from circa 1998 that has finally been put to bed with this oddly pointless little video.

The comments section at Breitbart London is full of corrections to the video, as well it should be.

More than one aspect of the video is mildly noteworthy, but as Breitbart London sourly implies, the video does seem a bit self-congratulatory about the EU’s official use of 24 different languages, as opposed to the USA’s use of only one.

Here on the left side of the pond, of course (and — duly noted — south of the world’s longest peaceful border), we consider that a feature, not a bug.
