EPA chief Gina McCarthy: ‘Climate deniers’ are not ‘normal’

Are you a “climate denier,” which is the revised (if relatively meaningless) term used by liberals for people who do not buy into global warmism? If you are, you are not normal” in the view of EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy.

McCarthy was the keynote speaker at the White House Public Health and Climate Change Summit this past Tuesday, where she laid out her plan for combating this menace, adding:

I am doing that not to push back on climate deniers. You can have fun doing that if you want, but I’ve batted my head against the wall too many times and if the science already hasn’t changed their mind it never will.

But in any democracy, it’s not them that [sic] carries the day. It is normal human beings that haven’t put their stake into politics above science. It’s normal human beings that want us to do the right thing, and we will if you help us.

Maybe it’s McCarthy who’s not normal. After all she admits having batted her against the wall numerous time.

In any event, she has little room to talk about placing politics above science, especially since the science has proven fickle to “climate believers” like her. As recently as February 2014, the administration was still using the term global warming to identify the man-made scourge that is threatening to destroy planet Earth in our lifetimes. When the data failed to support that contention, the phrase global warming was deep-sixed for climate change, which is nonsensical since no one denies that the climate is subject to change.

McCarthy’s comments, should you have any interest in hearing them, start at about 2:14:00 in the video below.
