Tweet of the Day: Donate to Hillary, and she might call your mom on Mother’s Day

Maybe the conjunction in the headline is wrong. Maybe it should read, “Donate to Hillary, or she might call your mom on Mother’s Day” — you know, to rat you out for not helping her with the coronation she and her ex-president husband seem to believe the American people owe them.

The former Secretary of State and would-be commander and chief has taken a page right out of the Obama playbook. His shtick was an invitation to break bread with him and his wife (and, no, not at the place in Hawaii that charges half a million dollars to become a member). At least Obama waited until he was in the White House to start inflicting these smarmy and egotistical appeals on the American people.

Here is Hillary’s tweet, complete with a link to a page on her website where you can provide your email address and ZIP code.

After you enter that information, the site makes a pitch for money:

Now increase your odds — chip in to be automatically entered again for another chance to win.

You are provided with a range of contributions that start at $5 to and rise as high as $2,700, which is still chump change for the Clintons who earn hundreds of thousands of dollars per public speech.
