Video: Since the topic of Obama’s religion is back in the news…

Lest we be accused of conspiracy theorizing, we stipulate up front that the video that follows, uploaded to YouTube in August 2009, does not represent the views or opinions of the editorial staff or management of this blog. It is presented here in the narrow light of a renewed focus on Barack Obama’s religion, a question about which was posed gratuitously to Gov. Scott Walker by two Washington Post reporters in an obvious attempt to embarrass him and diminish his standing as a prospective GOP presidential candidate in 2016.

Asking Walker whether he believed Obama is a Christian is akin to the old schoolyard joke “Are you the only member of your family that eats dung sandwiches?” In short, there was no short and easy answer to the question, which was deliberately loaded.

As to the vetting of candidates, it would have behooved the Post back in 2009 to do due diligence and ask candidate Obama about some of the questions suggested by the video.
