I’m ambivalent about the rage to force radical Islamist jihadis off of social media.
Well, not really so ambivalent. I think we should just let them post on social media. Why would we want to deny them a forum in which to expose (a) their foolishness, (b) their vicious hatred, and (c) their IT footprints? Geez, let them give us targeting data, if that’s what they want to do.
At any rate, I regret to report that the Twitter account from which our Tweet of the Day comes has been suspended. So the tweet itself is no longer available for embedding, and we’ll have to make do with a captured image, courtesy of the Daily Mail.
I know none of y’all alert readers were in any doubt as to the orientation of Islamic State toward homosexuality. But apparently it’s really on their minds, if this tweet is anything to go by. When they conquer Rome, it seems that one of their top priorities is to seek out the famous “tower of pizza” and throw gays off of it.
I’d tell Islamic State to find somebody who at least speaks English to put out these tweets, but going by his nom de Tweet, this guy is apparently from Britain. Of course, he needs to brush up on his geography too, Pisa being well north of Rome.
Sadly, it is all too certain that has has gotten correct the part about Islamic State’s intention for gays.
