Video: State Dept harpie stumbles to explain Obama’s Paris no-show

Never send a child to an adult’s job. Then again, finding an adult in the Obama administration is no mean feat. So when a representative of the French press asked at a State Department presser about the absence in Paris Sunday of any high-ranking official from the Obama administration, spokes-hag Marie Harf said this:

I think there should be no question at all among the French government or the French people that the U.S. has done anything but stand squarely by our very close ally, our oldest ally, during [inaudible] this attack. [Emphasis added]

Even if she not mangled the sentiment she was trying to express, Harf (rhymes with barf) would have still been lying. The administration was at best lukewarm in its reaction to the Charlie Hebdo shootings, offering up largely pre-scripted Obama pablum and refusing to assign guilt for the attacks to Islamists, jihadists, or anything similar.
