It is live news footage from New York station WPIX about last night’s demonstrations over the grand jury decision in the Eric Garner case and its impact on events in the city, including the annual Christmas tree lighting in Rockefeller Center.
As correspondent Allison Kaden delivers her report, a couple in business attire appear behind her. The male in the pair pretends to get his female partner in a chokehold similar to the one allegedly applied to Garner. She in turn raises her hands as though surrendering. Then the two enjoy a good laugh before walking off.
Deadspin calls the tasteless display “the worst videobomb of the day (and week, and probably year, and maybe ever).” Indeed, the couple must be a riot at funerals.
