Tweet of the Day: Bakery selling ‘vegan organic genderless gingerbread figures’

OK, let’s run through our checklist. The cookies (if that is still a politically correct way of referring to this particular category of bakes goods) are vegan (check!), organic (check!), and genderless (double check!). Uh-oh, something’s missing. There’s no mention of their being gluten-free, so the place needs to be boycotted ASAP (this despite gluten consumption being a non-health issue for 90% of the population worldwide).

The ad came to my attention via this tweet by Washington Times columnist Joseph Curl (h/t Weasel Zippers):

As for the treats being “genderless,” they appear, from the drawing on the sign, to be as free of gender indicators as any gingerbread “figures” I’ve eaten, which is to say I have never seen a gingerbread person that had gingerbread genitalia. Maybe I’ve led a sheltered life.
