Innocent ’13-year-old’ killed by Israeli air strike turns out to be adult PLO terrorist

“Those 13-year-olds in Gaza sure grow up fast,” writes Daniel Greenfield at FrontPage Mag:

Maybe it’s hormones in the milk. Or maybe they haven’t been 13 year olds in this century.

The cynical reference is to the latest “civilian” “child” casualty in Gaza, killed by what Greenfield calls the “brutal Zionist overlords of doom.” Here’s how the Palestinian Center for Human Rights reported the death of the 13-year-old, whose name was Ibrahim Jamal Kamal Naser:

At approximately 01:55, Israeli drones fired 2 missiles at a number of Palestinian civilians who were sitting near their houses in Khan Yunis refugee camp. As a result, 9 civilians, including 3 children, were killed: Yahia and Mohammed Bassam al-Sir, 20 and 17 respectively; Mohammed Mustafa Darwish Slahiya, 32; Mohammed, Mustafa and Wassim Rida Mustafa Salhiya, 22, 21 and 15 respectively; Ibrahim Jamal Kamal Nasser, 13; Mohammed ‘Awadh Fares Nasser, 25; and Rushdi Khaled Fares Nasser, 25.

There are several problems with the account. One is a report by the Al Mezan Center for Human Rights to the effect that someone named Ibrahim Nasser whose age coincidentally was 13 was killed on the same day in the same location, but not by an incoming Israeli missile. Instead Nasser died at the hands of the Abu Rish Battalions of the Al Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades:

Two additional problems are the child’s appearance and the claim that he was a civilian. Here is a poster of the late Ibrahim Nasser:

Ibrahim Nasser
Maybe he’s just one of those early bloomers. Or maybe the Palestinian Center for Human Rights is just a bunch of scurvy propagandists playing on the heart strings of easily duped liberals, who will join them in their false condemnation Israel as an aggressor nation.
