“Death to America Israel!”
It hardly makes a difference these days whether the flag you torch is our own or that of an ally. The administration’s reaction is the same, which is to say stark and stunning silence. Nor does it make a whole lot of difference where the flag burning takes place.
An anti-Israel rally was held in Lafayette Park, just north of the White House, on Saturday, but Barack Obama had no comment. Partly that’s because he wasn’t home. He had left the Executive Mansion earlier in the day and helicoptered over to Andrews Air Force base for a rare(!) round of golf with some pals to kick off his birthday festivities.
Too bad. He missed quite a show. Professional black grievance monger Cornel West was on hand to stoke passions:
The highlight of the protest was a flag burning, featuring the flag of Israel. This tweet captures the event:

Here is a video of the desecration just received from a reader via email.
But wait, as they say — there’s more. Gateway Pundit notes that a small group of pro-Israel counter-protesters who took up refuge across the street from the park were spirited in police vans. That were not arrested, CNN’s Dan Mercia reports in another tweet. Rather, it was for their own safety.
