There’s no guarantee that a stiff like John Kerry can broker a deal with Iran to help the U.S. preserve its gains in Iraq, as he alluded to this morning, and it’s anybody’s guess whether the Secretary of State is just blowing smoke when he shares his considered opinion that the ISIS won’t manage to overthrow Baghdad.
But at least Kerry’s head is in the right place, not off in the clouds somewhere, right? Not judging from a Twitter message he sent out shortly after 9 this morning, showing this head is very much in the clouds:
We’re kicking off #OurOcean2014 because the threat to our ocean is too great to ignore. Join to make a difference: http://t.co/6VQtvjcEHp

Kerry’s droning on about climate change at this pivotal moment reveals he is as ill-suited to his job as his boss is to his. Not only was Obama AWOL during one of the tensest moments of his presidency this past weekend, but he misspent his time mocking climate deniers as arguing in essence that “the moon is made of cheese.”
