Picture of the Day: Fun with vocabulary

The photo of the school workbook page below comes to us courtesy of the Facebook page Common Crud. The name of the publisher and grade level have not been provided, nor is there any indication that this is a Common Core-affiliated vocabulary assignment.

The worksheet is nevertheless interesting for its generally dark tone. Among the words being taught are vengeance, frustrated, and grim, and the context in which they are presented are equally bleak.

Of special interest is the last (highlighted) item, which reads:

There is quite a contrast between the ______ administration that now runs the country and the “do-nothing” regime that preceded it.

Do you suppose the student who filled in the answers lost points on this completion for misspelling Obama?
