Heckler nails Hillary Clinton: 'You let them die' in Benghazi

Hillary ClintonWhile speaking to a sold-out crowd at the University of Buffalo in New York on Wednesday, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was heckled by an attendee about Benghazi, WIVB reported.

“Recently in Washington, we’ve seen what happens when politicians operate on scorched earth, not on common ground,” Clinton said.

Shortly thereafter, a man stood up and shouted, “Benghazi, Benghazi, you let them die.”

Clinton didn’t stop speaking, however.

“We have to be willing to come together as citizens to focus on the kind of future we want, which doesn’t include yelling. It includes sitting down and talking with one another,” she said to loud applause.

The heckler was escorted out and Clinton continued her address.

She took questions from the audience after her 40-minute speech, but did not answer the burning question on everyone’s mind:  Will she run for president in 2016?

WIVB said Clinton “sidestepped the question, saying instead the ideal president in 2016 would be someone who believes in America’s future.”

“We need to get back to doing what we do best, rolling up our sleeves and getting back to work,” she told the crowd.

Clinton ignited a firestorm of controversy during a Senate hearing earlier this year when she responded angrily to questions about the terror attack that saw four Americans killed, including Ambassador Chris Stevens.

“With all due respect, the fact is, we had four dead Americans,” Clinton said. “Was it because of a protest or was it because of guys out for a walk one night and decided they’d go kill some Americans?! What difference, at this point, does it make?! It is our job to figure out what happened and do everything we can to prevent it from ever happening again, Senator,” she said.

While Clinton may want Americans to forget what happened in Benghazi, at least one person — the mother of Sean Smith — directly blamed the former Secretary.

“I blame her,” Pat Smith told CNN’s Jake Tapper. “[T]hat’s her department. She is supposed to be on top of it. Yet she claims she knows nothing. It wasn’t told to her. Well, who is running the place?”

The Benghazi terror attack is certain to emerge as an election issue if Clinton decides to run in 2016.
