It’s a sad thing to see a highly publicized bro-mance come to an end, but it’s even sadder when the breakup is one sided. That’s exactly happened when Hollywood’s Matt Damon publicly stated on the Black Entertainment Television (BET) network that he was no longer at one with Barack Obama, as reported by Breitbart.com on Aug. 9, 2013.
Damon held little back when he very publicly Barry-slapped Obama and said with an uneasy laugh, “Obama broke up with me” (video here).
The pair of manarchists have been much celebrated by the veritable army of New York and Los Angeles fashionistas, metrosexuals, feminists, hipsters, lesbros and a plethora of other Leftist acceptable portmanteauistic neologisms as the apex of the blending of über-liberal politicians and über-liberal culture elitists that populate the rarefied atmosphere of the left wing of the American electorate.
But all that has come to an end when the commune-raised Damon serioused up to BET:
There are a lot of things that I really question – the legality of the drone strikes, these NSA revelations.
Far from even being close to done, Damon went on to evoke the dubious political credibility of former president James Earl Carter:
Jimmy Carter came out and said we don’t live in a democracy. That’s a little intense when an ex-president says that.
Just when Obama might have hoped the Matt-induced pillaring was coming to a ckise, Damon whipped out a dubious factoid:
So you know, he’s got some explaining to do, particularly for a constitutional law professor.
During the 2007 official Democratic Presidential Primaries, the Hillary Clinton campaign stated of Obama’s status as a “senior instructor” at the University of Chicago:
Sen. Obama has often referred to himself as ‘a constitutional law professor’ out on the campaign trail. He never held any such title.
And I think anyone, if you ask anyone in academia the distinction between a professor who has tenure and an instructor that does not, you’ll find that there is … you’ll get quite an emotional response.
Other than using BET as his social media outlet to notify Obama they were now officially dude-vorced, Damon also wants “stand your ground” repealed because we should leave “policing’ to the police.”
