Benghazi mom to Clinton: 'Happy Mother's Day, Hillary'

The mother of one of the four Americans killed by Islamic jihadists last September publicly wished the presumptive Democratic nominee for president in 2016 a barbed Happy Mother’s Day while appearing on Fox News Channel’s “Huckabee.”

The Washinton Examiner reports that Patricia Smith, mother of slain State Department official and U.S. Air Force veteran Sean Smith, choked back tears as she said, “I want to wish Hillary a Happy Mother’s Day.”

The visibly shaken mother of one of the diplomatic corps members killed in the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi grimly added, ”

She has her child.

I don’t have mine because of her.”

Huckabee, the former governor of Arkansas, asked Smith if she was somewhat comforted by the Congressional hearings about the attacks last week. “Absolutely not,” she replied. “I am still waiting to answers to just about everything.”

The YouTube video of Mrs. Smith’s interview has been scrubbed. However, a cached copy of the rather pointed and double-edged Mother’s Day wish can be viewed here. At the end of the clip, Smith states very matter-of-factly that even though “it’s too late” for her son, there are still American’s sons and daughters in Libya who are “going to be treated the same way.”
