It’s become quite apparent that liberals are incapable of making an argument without crying racism.
On Monday’s edition of MSNBC’s “Politics Now” with activist Al Sharpton, Salon’s Joan Walsh called talk show host Rush Limbaugh a “racist troll” for using the phrase “shuck and jive,” Politico reported.
“You know, Rush Limbaugh is a racist troll and he’s proud of it,” she said. “His audience expects this, he’s always looking for a new low with this president and he hit one today.”
Earlier Monday, Limbaugh dubbed Obama’s unpopular call for military strikes against Syria “Operation Shuck and Jive.”
“Bush had Shock and Awe? We’re looking at shuck and jive here. That’s what I’m gonna name this. The Obama operation in Syria, Operation Shuck and Jive, because that’s what this is,” he said.
“No, we don’t do ‘Shock and Awe.’ That’s too big, that’s too dangerous, that’s too mean. We’re not. No, no, no,” he added.
In context, Limbaugh’s comments were in response to a statement made by White House Press Secretary Jay Carney, who responded to a reporter’s question about Secretary of State John Kerry’s comment that any attack on Assad would be “unbelievably small.”
“They are trying to distinguish themselves from Bush. They have got Bush on the brain. They believe every American hated the Iraq war. They are paralyzed by the idea that they’re doing the same thing in the minds of a lot of people, which they are, by the way. They’re beating the same drums, they’re saying the same things, they’re making the same allegations,” Limbaugh said.
Walsh, however, apparently forgot that MSNBC host Chris Matthews also used the statement three times, even though he called Sarah Palin a racist for using the same phrase. It also appears she didn’t get the memo that Obama himself doesn’t think racism is behind opposition from conservatives.
Nevertheless, since Obama became president, liberals have used the race card to attack anyone even remotely to the right of Josef Stalin.
The cries of racism have become so absurd that a Portland principal claimed she could spot racism in a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, and dry asparagus prompted charges of racism against a Missouri grocery store.
