Malik Leigh, who teaches at Palm Beach Lakes High School in West Palm Beach, Fla., is suing to get his job back. Leigh was suspended in May for a question he included on a final exam that the school’s principal said he found “wholly inappropriate.”
To be more precise, it was the answers to the multiple choice question that Leigh’s boss took issue with. Here’s the question stem and the four possible completions:
If a [sic] Donald Trump becomes president of the United states, we are:
A. Screwed
B. Screwed
C. Screwed
D. Screwed behind a really YUGE wall that Mexico pays for.
Cute, no? This wasn’t the only question that got Leigh into trouble. Another asked students about courtroom procedure. It asked them essentially to imagine themselves to be attorneys (Leigh teaches at the school’s law academy). Here is the question and answers to choose from:

A. Wink at the Judge
B. find the hottest person on the Jury and focus your words on them
C. Speak to them as if they are cordial friends.

A third question asked Corey Jones, a black man shot by a plainclothes police officer while waiting by his disabled car in 2015.
For the time being, Leigh has been ordered to stay off the school’s campus and remain “on assignment at home … pending the outcome of an investigation.”
In an interview with NBC affiliate WPTV, Leigh defended his reasons for including the questions, explaining they were meant to be jokes and adding that the law is boring.
