A massive 30-by-30-foot sinkhole is swallowing Nicolas Cage’s $10.5 million Malibu mansion
KTLA reported Tuesday that the driveway of the luxurious beachfront property in the Lechuza Beach area completely fell into the hole believed to be caused by “coastal erosion.” Stunning images showed a deep hole in front of the garage. The outlet reported that a Sky5 helicopter flew overhead and observed waves crashing beneath the home, visible through the massive hole.
Page Six reported that the residence belonged to Cage.

Public information officer Torres told KTLA that Los Angeles firefighters found the shocking scene early Tuesday while responding to a call about a suspected gas main break in the 31600 block of Sea Level Drive at 5:45 a.m.
The asphalt and concrete appeared to split apart, creating a massive crater that swallowed a portable construction toilet and sections of a privacy fence.
By sharp contrast, stunning views of the waterfront and beach are visible from the back of the home, which appeared unaffected when the photo was snapped.

“Substantial damage done to this home, or at least the driveway to this home here in Malibu,” KTLA’s Rich Prickett said.
He continued, “It doesn’t appear that anybody was home. As a matter of fact, the house looks like it is under some sort of renovation.”
The region faced days of high surf since former Hurricane Marie developed in the Pacific.
KTLA reported that other homes in the area were also affected, and access to the gated community has been restricted. No injuries have been reported at this time.
