“A diversity and inclusion director at Cornell University has come under fire over disturbing social media posts supporting Hamas and dismissing the terror group’s slaughter of innocent civilians as a ‘resistance'”, reports the New York Post.

Derron Borders, of the Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management, voiced his support for the Palestinians and criticized Israel following the devastating invasion by Hamas terrorists who killed more than 900 people.

“When you hear about Israel this morning and the resistance being launched by Palestinians, remember against all odds Palestinians are fighting for life, dignity, and freedom — alongside others doing the same — against settler colonization, imperialism, capitalism, white supremacy, which the United States is the model,” Borders wrote on his Instagram Story…

The backlash against the Cornell administrator comes following similar controversies by Harvard and Columbia student groups, who suggested Israel was “entirely responsible” for Hamas’ mass slaughter….Larry Summers, the former Treasury secretary and Harvard University president, has slammed the students’ comments and the school over its lack of response to the controversial statement.

Many colleges have remained neutral about the terrorist attacks in Israel that killed at least 1200 people. As excuses, some have cited goals such as the desire to remain neutral about “geopolitical issues and news events.” Most of those same colleges have previously issued press releases about news events, like the death of George Floyd, and geopolitical issues, like climate change policy.

Northwestern University, which scolded the Supreme Court for ruling against race-based college admissions, has refused to “make an institutional statement” about the terror attacks by Hamas that killed relatives of some of its students and staff.

Discussing the terror attacks could be very politically inconvenient for progressive campus officials, because Biden’s policies helped spawn Hamas’s hostage-taking, and college officials are almost entirely leftists who support Biden.

Hamas seized at least 150 Israelis as hostages, as well as some Europeans and Americans. The seizure of these hostages came soon after Hamas’s sponsor, Iran, received a $6 billion ransom this year from the Biden administration for releasing five American hostages.

Hamas admits Iran gave it weapons it used in its attack on Israel. “We thank the Islamic Republic of Iran who provided us with weapons, money and other equipment! He gave us missiles to destroy Zionist fortresses, and helped us with standard anti-tank missiles!”

The Biden administration recently released millions of dollars to the Hamas-controlled government of the Gaza strip — money that the Trump administration had withheld.
