Left Wing Politician Casually Drops Mother Of All Woke Acronyms And It’s A Doozy

A left-wing Canadian politician used a woke acronym so breathtaking in scope this week that it set social media on fire with confusion, mockery, and morbid fascination.

In remarks on Canada’s budget cuts, New Democratic Party Member of Parliament Leah Gazan dropped what turned out to be a very real, very long acronym that makes LGBTQ look quaint by comparison. In a speech opposing a $7 million government spending cut to Canada’s Indigenous Services agencies, Gazan, a self-described socialist, rattled off the 16-character alphanumeric monstrosity with ease in the clip that left Americans scratching their heads. “When the budget was released, I was shocked to find out that Prime Minister Carney is cutting $7 billion between Indigenous Services Canada and Crown Indigenous relations,” Gazan said during a Wednesday press conference. “They provided $0 to deal with the ongoing genocide of MMIWG2SLGBTQQIA+.”

“This is abhorrent. This is callous. This is callous because the very liberal government that has stripped organizations of life sustaining funding has now promised, committed $13 billion on military spending,” Gazan continued. “Who is paying for it? Indigenous women across this country, indigenous women, girls to us LGBTQQIA+, are not safe.”

The acronym MMIWG2SLGBTQQIA+ stands for “Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two‑Spirit, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning, Intersex, and Asexual,” with the plus sign intended to include other racial, sexual, or gender identities allegedly affected by systemic oppression.

The clip went viral on several social media platforms, including X, for its length and the graveness of the MP’s delivery. It’s a situation Canada has been in before over the evolution of the woke-cronym’s expansion:

On X, the video of the MP spread like wildfire on Thursday and Friday. CEO of SpaceX Elon Musk quote-shared the video with his own comment. “Canada is cooked,” he wrote.

Podcaster and author Matt Walsh responded at greater length, pointing out that one of the letters in the acronym stands for “murdered.”

“Murdered is now a queer identity,” Walsh said. “This is the kind of innovation we get from Canada.”

Ironically, Canada’s socialist New Democratic Party has supported reducing penalties for murder, opposing long sentences and opposing life without parole for even the worst murderers, such as serial killers.

Republican Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas also weighed in on the long string of characters — the characters who are coming up with such acronyms, that is.

“The mental institutions were closed far too quickly,” said Cruz, resharing the clip.

Many users, including writer and humorist David Burge and X influencer Mario Nawfal, compared the designation to a modern password.

 

 

 

There were many, many more reactions. One user responded with an image of a cat walking across a keyboard as if to explain how Gazan came up with the acronym. Another posted a meme featuring C-3PO, “fluent in more than six million forms of communication,” unable to decipher the acronym. Other influential names also jumped in to comment.

 

 

 

 

So many reactions have continued to flood in that they may soon outnumber the letters in the acronym itself, if that’s possible.
