A 29-year-old man who walked free from an attempted murder charge in 2021 was arrested Sunday in Florida for allegedly shooting and killing three people in a separate incident.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) said in a press release that it was notified of a shooting at the Indian Point subdivision near Kissimmee at 12:13 p.m. on Sunday. The OCSO responded to a home and allegedly discovered three deceased males in front of the residence. All three men appeared to have been fatally shot, police said.

Deputies quickly located and arrested a suspect, Ahmad Jihad Bojeh. He was booked into the Osceola County Jail on three counts of murder, the OSCO stated.

Sheriff Christopher Blackmon denied any additional threat to the community following Bojeh’s arrest.

“There is no threat to the community, as the suspect responsible for these horrific and senseless murders has been apprehended by Osceola County deputies,” Blackmon said. (RELATED: 100+ Parents, Spectators Brawl At Youth Sports Event. Roughly 70 Police Officers Respond)

Bojeh is accused of killing Robert Luis Kraft, 70, Douglas Joseph Kraft, 68, and James John Puchan, 69, according to Fox News. The men had traveled to Florida to attend the Mecum Car Show and were staying at an Airbnb, their families told the outlet. Their families said the suspect allegedly eyed the men at a distance before shooting and killing them.

“There were no known interactions between the men and this individual prior to the event; they were then approached and senselessly murdered. This was a random, tragic act,” the families said.

The men planned to return home Saturday, but were forced to extend their stay in Florida due to rental car trouble. The alleged shooting occurred while they were standing outside their Airbnb waiting for a replacement rental car to arrive, Fox News reported.

The Sunday incident is not the first time Bojeh has gotten in trouble with the law. In 2021, Bojeh was charged with attempted first-degree murder with a firearm and aggravated battery after he allegedly shot at a person and random vehicles in a gas station parking lot. Bojeh was found not guilty by reason of insanity, according to court records cited by Fox News.

The State Attorney’s Office and Bojeh’s defense attorney agreed to skip a jury trial and let the judge make a solo ruling in the 2021 case, FOX 35 Orlando reported. They also requested Bojeh receive outpatient treatment instead of being committed to a State Mental Health Facility. Additionally, Bojeh has previously been arrested on drug charges, including when he was a teenager, according to the outlet.

He was denied bond during his first court appearance Sunday, Fox News reported.

The Daily Caller contacted the OSCO for comment but has not heard back as of publication.
