Jesse Kelly of “The First” discussed Socialist New York Mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani with Inez Stepman from the Independent Women’s Forum.
The conversation opens with a video of Mamdani rambling on about various socialist policies, including public land ownership, defunding the police, and his push to elect more Socialist politicians.
“I am so sad for the city I love so much,” Kelly said.
“Inez, I know it’s not your style, but make me feel better, he’s not gonna win, right?” Kelly asked.

Mamdani is a self-described “Democratic Socialist” who has called for the government to “seize the means of production.” He denounced the police, writing, “We don’t need an investigation to know that the NYPD is racist, anti-queer, and a major threat to public safety. What we need is to Defund The NYPD.” Mandani also said that “Queer liberation means defund the police.” Zohran Mamdani has called for emptying jails, saying that “violence is an artificial construct.”
