President Donald Trump announced a “very successful attack on the three nuclear sites in Iran” on Saturday.

Targets included Natanz and Esfahan, along with the primary target, Fordow, which Trump said received a “full payload of BOMBS.”

Trump said all U.S. planes returned safely and declared that the U.S. has the only “military in the world that could have done this.”

“Now is the time of peace,” Trump added.

The strike came just days after Trump said Thursday he would decide within two weeks whether the U.S. would get directly involved with Iran. Trump announced that he will deliver an address to the nation Saturday at 10 p.m. regarding the military operation in Iran.

“This is an HISTORIC MOMENT FOR THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, ISRAEL, AND THE WORLD. IRAN MUST NOW AGREE TO END THIS WAR,” Trump said.

Members of Congress have spoken out about Trump’s actions.

House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence Chairman Rick Crawford, Republican Rep. Rick Crawford of Arkansas who serves as the chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, said that he had been in touch with the White House before the strike and that he commends “President Trump for taking decisive action and I am grateful to the U.S. servicemembers who carried out these precise and successful strikes. I continue to pray for the safety of the forces engaged to protect the free world.” (RELATED: Senate Republicans Splinter Over Iran Threat)

Democratic Sen. John Fetterman of Pennsylvania said that Trump made the “correct move.”

“Iran is the world’s leading sponsor of terrorism and cannot have nuclear capabilities. I’m grateful for and salute the finest military in the world,” Fetterman said.

Democratic Rep. Rohit Khanna of California said Trump’s strike was “without any authorization of Congress” and said, “We need to immediately return to DC and vote on @RepThomasMassie and my War Powers Resolution to prevent America from being dragged into another endless Middle East war.”

Senate Majority Republican John Thune of South Dakota said he stands with Trump as “The mullahs’ misguided pursuit of nuclear weapons must be stopped.”

“The regime in Iran, which has committed itself to bringing ‘death to America’ and wiping Israel off the map, has rejected all diplomatic pathways to peace,” Thune said.
