The EPA museum is being closed by the Trump administration. No one wanted to visit it — it attracted only about 8 people per day, and this “free” museum cost about $315 in taxpayer funds for each visitor. Sara Carter explains in “EPA Museum – Yes, One Actually Existed – Shuttered After Zeldin Calls Out Massive Funding, Lack of Visitors.”

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), under Administrator Lee Zeldin, has decided to close the National Environmental Museum and Education Center, a project launched during the Biden administration, Fox News reports. Despite its mission to “highlight environmental achievements,” the museum struggled to attract visitors leaving taxpayers with a hefty bill for a largely empty space. Even with free admission, relatively no one could find any desire to walk through the doors. Although the lack of visitors is likely not surprising anyone, the money being poured into the museum just might.

The museum, located at the EPA headquarters near the White House, opened in May 2024 with the goal of celebrating America’s environmental progress. Former EPA Administrator Michael S. Regan envisioned it as a space to honor bipartisan efforts to protect public health and the environment. However, the museum saw fewer than 2,000 visitors in its first nine months, which some may call pathetic.

Taxpayers had invested $4 million to bring the museum up to Smithsonian standards, with an additional $600,000 per year required for upkeep. That worked out to about $315 per visitor—a price tag that Zeldin and his team argue cannot be justified.

It is hard to fathom why anyone would even think such a museum would attract a large number of visitors, much less spend millions of dollars on it. As Ace of Spades observes, “These people” who set up the museum are like “demented space aliens. They have no conception of how actual humans think. Real humans do not go to Museums of Bureaucracy. I used to laugh at conspiracy theories about ‘the Reptilians.’ Now I want to know more.”

In other news, the National Security Agency promoted sexual kinks and left-wing causes during the Biden administration.

Under Biden, federal agencies frequently promoted left-wing causes using tax dollars. They gave money to entities that promoted illegally hiring teachers based on race. They supported race-based hiring in places like the military.

They gave $27 million in taxpayer money to a group helping leftist protesters avoid jail for their crimes, such as blocking highways, attacking law enforcement, and shutting down college campuses.

The Biden administration used taxpayer funds to subsidize controversial foreign LGBT activitism that sometimes annoyed foreign countries and made America less popular overseas. Under Biden, USAID and the State Department funded LGBT messaging such as $25,000 for a transgender opera in Colombia through the State Department, “to raise awareness and increase the transgender representation“, $16,500 to foster a “united and equal queer-feminist discourse in Albanian society”, and “$55,750 for a climate change presentation…in Argentina to be led by female and LGBT journalists.”
