A left-wing professor who says that “virtually everything is racist” has been selected as the running mate of People’s Party presidential candidate Cornel West, who is himself a left-wing professor.
West chose as his vice presidential candidate Black Lives Matter activist Melina Abdullah, a professor at California State University.
Cornel West proposes massive tax increases, even as he owes half a million dollars in taxes as well as unpaid child support.
Melina Abdullah recently charged that being a fan of Taylor Swift is “slightly racist.” She also said that “Virtually everything is racist.”
Abdullah called the police “slave catchers”, told white folks to stay away from “black folks” on Juneteenth, called on the president of Cal State Los Angeles to “revoke all permits” of the campus Young Americans for Freedom chapter, and branded the conservative Jewish commentator Ben Shapiro as a “neo-Nazi” and “neo-KKK member.”
Abdullah also praised the hate-crime hoaxter Jussie Smollett after his hoax fell apart, saying “We can never believe police, especially the Chicago Police Department.” She lauded Smollett as a “Black man who has been courageously present, visible, and vocal in the struggle for Black freedom.” Abdullah denounced Smollett’s guilty verdict as “a white supremacist charade” in which blacks were “forced to put [their] lives and value in the hands of judges and juries operating in a system that is designed to oppress [them].”
West’s campaign planks include nationalizing the fossil fuel industry, paying “climate reparations,” and “gender-affirming standards of care for trans people in public life and institutions.”
In other news, independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. “has named far left Democrat donor and activist Nicole Shanahan as his” nominee for “vice president. Nicole provided financial support to both Pete Buttigieg & Biden. She also funded Soros-backed DA George Gascón.” Nicole Shanahan “gave $30,000 to the Biden campaign in 2020, according to Federal Election Commission (FEC) data. She also has made several donations to ActBlue, the Democrat fundraising arm, as well as one to the Democratic National Committee (DNC).” She is a “six-figure donor to… George Gascon, the pro-crime, Soros-backed prosecutor who helped” increase crime in San Francisco and Los Angeles.
RFK Jr. has also taken other left-wing stances. He called for jailing “climate deniers” such as the Koch brothers, notes Reason Magazine. Ironically, RFK, Jr. himself caused more air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions, by getting New York to shut down a nuclear power plant, which resulted in higher electric bills, and more use of fossil fuels. A recent study found that nuclear power is better for the environment, because it produces less pollution and fewer “deaths per megawatt of energy produced” than alternative sources of energy.
Earlier, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. called for “issuing reparations to the black community, making him the most prominent 2024 candidate to favor the controversial policy,” reported the New York Post. He did so even though reparations would cost taxpayers trillions of dollars and harm the economy.
