Yale University’s student government sent out email encouraging non-black students to take self-abasing actions to promote “black joy,” as a way of celebrating Black History Month.
One recommended action is to take off your coat and place it over a sidewalk puddle so “your Black friends can walk with ease.” “If there’s a puddle on the sidewalk, gently slide your coat off and lay it on the ground so your Black friends can walk with ease,” said the Yale College Council.
Another of its tips is to “politely” allow black students to jump ahead of you in line when dining hall lines are long.
Yet another recommendation is that students to patronize black-owned businesses in Yale’s host community, New Haven, Connecticut.
The student government’s Black History Month recommendations also promote free abortions. The Daily Caller reports that the email urged students to sign a petition in support of “inclusive healthcare,” defined to include “free abortion pills, pregnancy tests and PEP” and a medication “for possible HIV exposure.”
Meanwhile, at Auburn University, the Black Student Union circulated a seven-page list of racial slurs for white people, such as “maggots,” “vermin,” milk monkeys, and “mayonnaise monsters.”
