Mary Lemanski was the social media director for the LePage County, Illinois Democrats. She is very into “racial justice.” She disparaged the victims of the massacre in Waukesha, Wisconsin in a series of deranged tweets about the massacre that left five people dead and dozens injured on November 21. A Black Lives Matter militant says that the Waukesha massacre, which was committed by a black felon, may be the start of “revolution,” and that the killer, Darrell Brooks, may have been motivated by the Kyle Rittenhouse verdict.
Lemanski viewed these killings and maimings as “Karma” — just punishment of Wisconsin for the acquittal of Kyle Rittenhouse. So she tweeted:
The blood of Kyle Rittenhouse’s victims is on the hands of Wisconsin citizens. Even the children.
I just believe in Karma and this came around quick on the citizens of Wisconsin.
You reap what you sow, Wisconsin.
And:
It was probably just self-defense.
Living in Wisconsin, he probably felt threatened.
I’m sure he didn’t want to hurt anyone. He came to help people.
After she got blowback, she left her position, and responded to critics with self-pity:
Nobody cared about me like my whole life….I’ve put out music for 20 years nobody gave a sh*t. Why do people all of a sudden care about a stupid remark? I can’t believe my 15 minutes of fame is for this sh*t.
Lemanski spewed her venom after the media used slanted reporting to inflame racial tensions by falsely injecting race into the Rittenhouse trial. After a Wisconsin jury found Kyle Rittenhouse not guilty of murder on Friday, there was an outpouring of false claims by colleges, journalists, and progressive politicians about the facts of the case. Many wrongly claimed that Rittenhouse killed unarmed black men, when he in fact killed two dangerous white men in self defense. And they falsely claimed that he shot the men during protests over the police killing of Jacob Blake, when Blake is in fact alive.
Even though all the people Rittenhouse shot were white, a leading newspaper claimed Rittenhouse “shot three black men.” The Independent wrote: “Full story: teenager who shot three black men with rifle found not guilty on all charges…Republican politicians celebrate as jury acquits Kenosha shooter.” Other newspapers and media in many countries also falsely reported that the people shot by Rittenhouse were black, including in America, Brazil, England, Israel, and Holland. That includes Brazil’s biggest newspaper.
On November 21, the Detroit Free Press erroneously wrote that in “August 2020, Jacob Blake was shot and killed by a police officer in Kenosha, Wisconsin, sparking protests against racism and police brutality.” But Blake is alive, and he wasn’t shot due to racism or police brutality. Prosecutors found that his shooting was justified, and the Biden administration declined to bring a civil-rights case over the shooting, finding insufficient evidence of a civil-rights violation. Blake was shot by a policeman because he had a knife, refused to drop it, and a woman he’d sexually assaulted had called the police asking for help.
