Police may have William David Kevin McClish in custody and he may end up serving a long stretch in prison (then again in today’s looney world he may not). But either way, McClish has the last laugh. Which is to say he will always have the “trophy video” of the attack he carefully set up his cellphone to shoot and then ingeniously posted on Facebook.

McClish will also have the satisfaction of knowing that one of his two victims was severely injured. While the officer who was struck with the brick suffered only a broken nose, the other nearly had his left eye gouged out and had his biceps and some fingers bitten.

The video, which is grainy, shows the assailant hiding behind a car. Armed with a brick, he stealthily creeps up behind the two officers and assaults them.

As Fox 35 Orlando notes, the incident occurred a little more than three days after another pair of officers was fired upon at random by a group of individuals.

McClish faces several charges, including the attempted first degree murder of a law enforcement officer with a weapon.

Although no motive has been determined, it’s hard not to imagine that these attacks on law enforcement are not spurred on by the anti-police sentiment that the Democrats helped foster in the country after the police-related death of George Floyd.
