Sometimes it just comes from the wrong guy. The really wrong guy.
In the case of this digital campaign ad tweeted by Democratic candidate Joe Biden, that’s kind of a two-fer. First there’s the idea of Biden, who recently made news with a video-recorded riff on leg hair, children stroking his leg hair, and something about cockroaches, proposing to embarrass Donald Trump with a video.
But then there’s the supposed source of embarrassment in the video, which is that foreign leaders like Justin Trudeau are laughing at Trump.
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
The world is laughing at President Trump. They see him for what he really is: dangerously incompetent and incapable of world leadership.

Some right-wing media outlets are duly noting that the video clip used by Biden is selectively edited. Which is a fair point.
But the more important point would be that the sight of Justin Trudeau making Mean Girl cracks about Trump is just the fuel the Trump campaign needs to win whole new states in 2020.
The Trump campaign might want to put Biden’s ad team on retainer, and tell them to just keep making the anti-Trump ads they think are a good idea. Trump supporters could then make sure the anti-Trump ads get wide distribution.
